There is a priceless treasure waiting to be discovered by humanity. It is a’ light ray ‘of hope, shining in the dark land of the shadow of death where the prince of the power of the air once ruled and still deceives mortal man. Herein lies the gateway to Heaven and a taste of it lingers in her dwelling place. Sceptics have dismissed this ‘way’ as irrelevant to their life and thinking and have pursued and persecuted her custodians over the centuries.

Although these ‘custodians’’ are not perfect as ’sons and daughters of Adam’, nevertheless their identity remains one of a royal priesthood. Indeed they have been granted the right to be called ‘children of God’, who are to reflect His glory and point to the existence and knowledge of a Holy, triune God who offers to those who receive this gift a pathway to another world, a Heavenly country.

I am referring of course to the Local Church, the bride of Christ, the visible expression of the invisible God, which proclaims on earth His incredible work of atonement and Gift of Salvation and Grace to humanity and who await His magnificent and majestic second coming. She is Christ’s body on earth, who, by following her leader and lover establish a New Kingdom and fulfils Jesus’ manifesto on earth, a culture counter to the secular world with differing values and principles. She performs more charitable acts than any other institution in the World. She is the most powerful force for good on planet earth and challenges evil wherever it abounds. She is the champion of the innocent, the broken-hearted, the poor and exploited. She brings justice where there is injustice, compassion & mercy for those in need. Remove Her from the earth and you will have anarchy!
A Divine Love that captivated her heart is the reason she is compelled to impart a selfless LOVE for others. She brings hope for the hopeless, gives strength to the weary, sight for the blind, answers to the enquirer and life for the dying. She is the sole agent of that amazing GRACE on earth today meeting mans deepest need of his infection of the disease called Sin.

The Local Church of whichever denomination or expression is made up of her people the’ Saints ‘and as Christ’s agents make known the manifold wisdom of God, reflecting God’s Glory, upon the earth as mirrors, displaying His greatness & His goodness, bringing out the God colours and God flavours in this world as ‘light’ & ‘salt’ so that people will realise this and praise this Generous Father in Heaven (Matt 5).

Their mandate is to lead Gods children, the sons and daughters of Adam by the hand  home to a Heavenly country specially prepared for them by their awesome, great hero and leader, Jesus Christ, the God-man.

The apostle Paul states in the book of Ephesians “From Galaxies to Governments, Principalities & Powers, all things in Heaven & Earth, for now and at all times, at the centre of all this - Christ rules the Church, you see - the World is peripheral to the Church not the Church is peripheral to the World.” This is her true identity and Satans greatest fear is that the Church realises her true identity and God given authority & rises up to fulfil Her courageous calling and destiny, freeing those under his captivity and see his ultimate defeat.
Does this sound like a fairy story? This may be true, however the Bible teaches it is indeed true. Time and again the Bible has proven to be authentic and reliable as a historical, archaeological, prophetic and scientifically accurate document, despite countless attacks .

So let Hope rise and darkness tremble and let every eye see that Jesus is God as the Church gathers in unity and arises once more in Wales fulfilling her GREAT commission and builds upon the incredible heritage of her forefathers and the heroes of her Faith. Let us accept and take up our inheritance in serving the purposes of God in the 21st Century, proclaiming to the world once again the incredible message of their Freedom and the amazing gift and legacy that awaits the true seeker.
